Information Security

I work for a company that provides global outsourcing and consulting services for some of the leading companies in the world. Due to the nature of our relationship we have access to proprietary information which if generally known in the market would reduce our client's ability to compete. With our financial clients we also have access to private financial information such as social security numbers, credit cards numbers, bank account numbers, etc. Accordingly, one area we constantly seek to improve in is information security.

This afternoon a broadcast email was sent out announcing new security guidelines had been established to comply with the latest interpretation of ISO. The email indicated this information was critical for all employees as it represented a significant change in policy. A link to the document was provided in the email, which I followed.

My access was denied due to insufficient security clearance.
