A Preschool Education

I have the opportunity of helping out in The Boy's preschool class once a month. Last Thursday was my turn and during a discussion of the Star Spangled Banner, we came to the point of, "the twilight's last gleaming."

Teacher Lisa: "Does anyone know what the word, 'twilight,' means"?
Abby R.: (quite excitedly) "It's a big mommy's movie!"

I guess I'm not a big mommy, as I haven't seen it. Should I be worried that vampires and werewolves have made it into my son's formal education?

Halloween Weekend

The Boy was excited to wear his costume 4 days in a row for Halloween this year.
Thursday was his Preschool Parade
He had an important job which he took quite seriously. He was the police man at the end of the parade. He made sure that people did what they were supposed to and that everyone was safe.
Friday, the kids wore their costumes to story time at the library. I didn't get pictures of that, but I did get some of The Boy and some buddies playing in the leaves later that day.
Saturday was the big day to go trick-or-treating. They both had fun, even though they went during a downpour.
The Queen is a crayon, in case anyone couldn't tell.
Sunday they were able to show Boppa and Diyah their costumes for a Halloween dinner.
Happy Halloween to all!
