Better Late Than Never?

It's been a month, but here's the Happy Birthday post anyway!

He really wanted that Lego set!

Tired?

This is what happens when you wake up every hour during the night. I just wish I could join her!

Trees

The Boy asked about trees this morning, wondering why we like to have them around. Between bites of his breakfast (literally, as he had to take a bite before we would give him each example) we told him how trees provide clean air, shade, and beauty. We then started talking about the different animals that live in trees, such as squirrels and birds. Wanting to contribute, The Queen excitedly added 'monkeys' to the list as she went up the stairs.

Neesha: Fruit also grows on trees.
The Boy: Like what?
Neesha: Apples and oranges.
Mark: And bananas.
The Boy: And peaches?
The Queen (hollering from upstairs): And popcorn!

Time for the popcorn blossoms!

7 and 8 months!

Junebug is 8 months old.

Over the last few months...

• she has learned to sit up
• she has learned to clap (she starts and is sometimes startled when we start, but that quickly turns to delight)
• she has moved into her big sister's room to sleep at night (so far, so good)
• she loves baths in the "big" tub and has so much fun trying to grab the streams of water from the shower sprayer
• she jabbers and giggles most of the day, unless Mommy is out of sight
  
• her favorite toy is this spatula (Mommy's favorite spatula, but I can only use it if she's not around and it happens to be clean -- yeah, I don't get to use it anymore)

She's Got Talent

Junebug's got a bit of a cold and was struggling to breathe through her nose. After listening for a while, The Queen excitedly remarked, "Mommy, she knows how to snore!"
