They'll Hate This When They're Older

But I will love it forever!
We received the CD, "Popcorn Bopping" for Christmas. My kids love it.

The Boy and The Queen use their brooms for guitars most of the time, but they also function as pianos, horns and dance partners as well. Junebug usually gets into it and laughs at her silly siblings. Great for January/February stir-crazies.
Thanks, Dougalls!

Holy Golden Grahams, Batman!

It took two specially marked boxes of Golden Grahams to create this afternoon.
It's all about the simple things.

Half Way There

The Junebug is half way to her first birthday.
At 6 months she...
  • Loves to play peek-a-boo and watch The Boy and The Queen dance.
  • Likes vegetables over fruits (not sure where that came from) and insists on getting a death grip on Mommy's arm whenever the spoon comes in the general vicinity of her mouth.
  • Is a Mommy's Girl. She doesn't like Mommy to leave or let anyone else hold her.
  • Is much bigger than her sister was at this age, we've had to buy new winter clothes because all of The Queen's hand-me-downs are summer clothes!

Happy half-birthday, Junebug!

A Little Christmas

Christmas was pretty low-key this year. I still feel like I'm in survival mode with the Junebug, but these are some of the things we managed this year.

We rode the Frontrunner into SLC to see the lights on Temple Square.
They thought the train ride was more fun than the lights.

We tried Reindeer pancakes for Christmas Eve.
After the cherries were removed, they were a pretty good success.

We heard A LOT of this

This is The Queen's absolute favorite Christmas song. I like her version the best.

While Santa did not oblige and bring her a hippopotamus, he did make it to our house and she seems to have forgiven him.
Happy Christmas 2011
