What's Up, Doc?

At the beginning of the year Mark and I decided to set up a health savings account to help pay for our new arrival this year. Turns out it's a really good thing we did, I'm just not sure we'll have much left when she gets here. We've really been logging the hours in waiting rooms and forking over the co-pays the last few months.

Jan. 15: The Boy visit to Kids Care with broken leg
Jan. 16: Return visit to Kids Care with broken leg
Jan. 17: Neesha prenatal checkup
Jan. 17: The Boy visit to specialist for broken leg
Feb. 14: Neesha prenatal checkup
Feb. 16: The Boy follow up X-Ray and splint removal
Feb. 18: Neesha ultrasound
Feb. 26: The Queen visit to Kids Care with a high fever
Feb. 28: The Queen visit to pediatrician because fever STILL hasn't gone down (ear infection)
Mar. 14: Neesha prenatal checkup
Mar. 16: The Boy 5-yr. checkup
Mar. 23: The Boy return to specialist because he is STILL limping

This brings us up to date with Mar. 30 and an evaluation with a physical therapist for The Boy's limp (his leg is apparently healed and he has no pain).

Now we just have physical therapy sessions TWICE a week for FOUR weeks to see if we can't get The Boy walking normally.

Glad we set up that health savings account!

Playtime

??????
I'm not sure what she was going for. I told her it was too cold for her "swimmy soup" (swimming suit) and she came out of her room with her tutu, The Boy's hard hat and goggles, and taking a Curious George DVD for a walk. At least she's happy.

5 Years Old

Saturday was The Boy's birthday.
He started the day with cinnamon rolls and balloons followed by birthday party prep. We somehow managed to entertain 7 boys for 2 hours with some cupcakes, a few games (which only lasted about 30 min.) and our backyard (thank HEAVEN it wasn't raining).
After cleanup, it was time for the family party. Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts and Uncles arrived to share presents, cake and ice cream.
At 5 years old, the Boy loves:
Transformers
Red
Ravioli
Reading
Curious George
Super Why
Riding his bike
Playing with friends
Preschool
His family

Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy! We love you!

Issues?

The Boy received some Nerf guns for his birthday.
Does anyone know of any unresolved issues my husband may have with President Washington?

Poor Mommy

I took the kids to the library for story time and to check out new books yesterday. The Boy has a new fascination with Transformers and asked the librarian if she had a Transformers book. She hit the jackpot with an over-sized, 30 page documentation of one of the movies. He was thrilled. As we waited for our turn to check out our books, we had the following conversation:

The Boy: "Mommy, how much do you like Transformers?"
Me: "Not as much as you, sweetheart."
The Boy: "No, Mommy, how much?"
Me: (realizing that he wanted a quantitative answer) "One."
The Boy: (a shocked and disbelieving look, then a pitying look) "That's not very much."
