Happy Independence Day

Our family participated in the Centerville 5K Freedom Run on Saturday morning. Even The Boy and The Queen joined in the stroller with their sippys full of milk and snack cups full of Cheerios.

After the 5K, they had the children's races. Here is my youngest brother finishing the 1/2 mile. Way to go, Josh!

The Boy simply couldn't wait to run his race.

In the end, he wouldn't run by himself, so Dad had to go along.

He was so proud of himself and is so excited to "run by himself" next year!

After the race, homemade pancakes at my mom's house. Later that evening, sparklers. Sorry, no pictures. We wound up doing them at about 7:30 anyway because the kids were so tired.

Seriously, where is this girl's mother?

Moon Lake

Last weekend we went camping to Moon Lake with Mark's family. Aside from an hour long splinter-removal-session, two kids with fevers, and one with an ear infection, there was some fun!

Anyone else seen these marshmallows that are almost as big as my kid's head?
We decided to move to the sandbox after this. Note to self, no more white shirts while camping (duh).
The water was cold, but the beach was fun!
In the end, we all wore out.
Can't wait until next time!
