Three years old!

Caleb turned three last Thursday (sorry, not so on the ball with the blog lately). When asked what he wanted to do that afternoon, he chose to help Mommy make his birthday cake.
Needless to say, he enjoyed it.

His favorite gift was his tricycle and helmet. Because we wouldn't let him sleep with his trike, he settled for sleeping with his helmet (sorry, no pictures of sleeping with helmet -- I really, really didn't want to wake him).
When asked what kind of birthday cake he wanted, he only responded, "green." So I tried to get creative (probably won't try that again -- it's a turtle, for those of you who can't tell -- probably more of you than I'd like to admit). He was happy to have a cake so that he could blow out the candles, but that's about as far as it went (he took a giant lick of the frosting and ate about 2 bites of the cake). He's had a big year. In June, he switched to his big boy bed, and then broke his arm after crawling into his crib and falling out. In July, he moved to Boppa and Diya's house, and watched his Uncle Mo leave on a mission. In August he moved into our new house. In September, he welcomed his little sister. And two weeks before his birthday, he managed potty training. Way to go, kid!

At three, Caleb loves cars, oatmeal, peppermint patties, cuddles, helping Daddy, and his little sister. He is very sweet, considerate, and hilarious!
Happy Birthday Caleb! We love you!

Oh, I remember seeing those pictures of Caleb and his tongue! It seems like it was just yesterday!
Happy Birthday buddy. Your gift is with Boppa and Diyah and Cason heard you had a tricycle, so he drew a picture of you riding it. Enjoy!

I can't believe he's already three! Sorry we missed his birthday. We have been so busy and so sick we have kind of been self-involved lately. Congrats on the potty training!!! What a cutey!
